Femme à Poigne roughly translates to "strong willed woman."

The Femme à Poigne collection is dedicated to strong girls, women and femmes everywhere. We have chosen just a few of the incredible women in history, and present day.

Additionally, 10% of proceeds from each sale will be donated to one of the following charities that benefit women and girls around the world.

Helen Keller International: Helen Keller International’s Vitamin A Supplementation provides critical nutrition to at-risk children around the world. “Vitamin A deficiency (VAD) is the leading cause of preventable blindness in children and increases the risk of disease and death from severe infections,” per the World Health Organization. HKI facilitates mass distributions of Vitamin A supplements, helping build healthier communities in the process. Each supplement costs less than $1 to deliver.

Mothers Against Senseless Killings: MASK (Mothers/Men Against Senseless Killings) was established in 2015 as a way to put eyes on the streets, interrupt violence and crime, and teach children to grow up as friends rather than enemies. A group of caring individuals in the community began to simply hang out on the block, cook food, and emanate love.

Village Enterprise: Village Enterprise identifies the extreme poor in Kenya and Uganda and delivers a four part program to build businesses that increase household income: entrepreneurship training, a cash grant, business mentoring and a savings group. Businesses are started in groups of 3 participants which are later organized into Business Savings groups of 10 businesses each.

Trans Women of Color Collective: There is a critical need for more trans people of color led initiatives that create opportunities to engage in healing and restorative justice as trans and gender non-conforming people of color are disproportionately impacted by structural oppression that is inextricably linked to physical violence.  TWOCC is a grass-roots funded global initiative created to offer opportunities for trans people of color, our families and our comrades to engage in healing, foster kinship, and build community.  We strive to educate and empower each other through sharing skills, knowledge and resources as we build towards the liberation of all oppressed people.

Human Rights Campaign: For transgender and gender-expansive youth, parental support is incredibly important. In light of growing transgender visibility in recent years, more and more children and their families are looking for transgender youth resources. HRC is committed to providing the kinds of resources children, families and other youth-serving professionals need to support one another in their journeys.
